Amanda Pisark Therapy
mental and emotional support for individuals, couples, and families
Welcome!
I'm a licensed clinical social worker based in the suburbs of Philadelphia. After over a decade of working in a corporate setting in my hometown of NYC, I decided to pursue my true passion of helping others live their best possible lives. After receiving my Master of Social Service degree from Bryn Mawr College, I spent the next few years working in hospice care and retirement communities, and completed additional training through the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA). I have helped hundreds of individuals better understand and manage aging, life transitions, dying and death, loss and grief, dementia, caregiver stress, hoarding disorder and behaviors, family dynamics, and more.
Today as a therapist, I aim to provide a warm and safe space for adults of all ages to explore negative thoughts and feelings that impact their daily lives as well as their relationships with others. Using a blend of therapeutic modalities, we will work together at a pace that works best for you to uncover, process, and reframe your past and present while developing coping and communication techniques to improve your future self. I look forward to hearing your personal experiences, and helping you understand who you are, who you want to be, and getting you to that place.

FAQs
Who do you provide therapy for?
Adults of any age; my clients are anywhere between 18 and 100+ years old
Where will sessions take place?
Sessions typically take place via telehealth video. I work through a few therapy platforms; which one we use for your sessions will depend on your payment method or insurance. In-person sessions are also an option for clients near Bryn Mawr - contact me to discuss
How often will we have a session?
That is entirely based on your needs, goals, and availability. We can meet as often as once a week to once a month to on an as-needed basis, and anywhere from 30 minutes to up to one hour
Do you offer couples therapy?
Absolutely! In addition to individual therapy, I meet with couples and families who feel they would benefit from having a space to evaluate conflict, improve communication, and repair relationships. Please note, I cannot provide individual therapy if I am meeting with you as part of a couple/family, or vice versa
What if I'm not sure therapy (or therapy with you) is right for me?
Therapy is a very personal and individual experience. Whether you're engaging in it for the first time, coming back after a long break, or switching from a different provider who simply wasn't the right fit - I am happy to talk to you via video or phone before you commit to a session so we can discuss your goals and expectations, my therapeutic style and go-to interventions, and see if it feels like a good match
Do you see clients outside of Pennsylvania?
Not at the moment. Additionally, I cannot see current clients if you are traveling out-of-state
